About

Thanks to the personal challenge of my sheet-music-smalldear friend, Chris Anderson, I have recently begun writing again. His parting words to me at the end of his last visit were: “Send me a hymn!” Over the past few months, the Lord has allowed me the joy and privilege of penning several texts (with several more in the works). I have also been able to partner with several composer friends of mine to set these texts to music. This site is where I plan to post some of what I write and/or team with others to write. The process of writing is extremely beneficial to me. If it proves helpful to others, then that will be an added blessing!

The title of this blog comes from Psalm 96:1-3, which says:

Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth!
Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

What a humbling thought…Fallen and sinful as we are, we are commissioned with the awesome privilege and weighty responsibility of “Declar[ing] his glory among the nations“! This site will provide one more way for me to do just that. So, it will be dedicated for the sole purpose of Declaring Glory!
